Dinners

My curling links grow ever wider and Anthony and I are going to a Wine Dinner tonight which should be fun! There will be around 20 of us on the coach from Pitlochry and back. It is freezing cold here just now but not anywhere as cold as the Mid West USA! Our sun is shining nicely but it is struggling to get above -1C. Just counting down the days until spring!

Snow

Snow at last but it will not last.

David's visit from Belgium

Our friend David from Belgium came over for a few days. Did some touring about including Rosslyn Chapel and Temple Midlothian which is in a dreadful state. Had lunch on Sunday with a very interesting Order historian from another branch of OSMTH which was great fun.

FLU!

Had a great night criticising the quality but not the enthusiasm of the dancing in the Village Hall where I was guest caller of the dances. I had a great time but after visiting our neighbour for fireworks and drinks I started to feel unwell so came home with the gang and went to bed. January 01 was a washout for me as I slept all day. I left the guests to cook for themselves and I hear that the steak pies were a massive success.

I was off work until 11th Jan and lost 8Kg in weight which I could afford with more to spare. What a nightmare!
